I’m officially down to 313 pounds!  That’s just over 20 lbs lost so far!  I’ve been going to the gym 3-4 days per week.  I usually hit the treadmill for about 40 minutes, but sometimes I do less and add weight training in for variety.

David at work has been on my case about joining him at the gym.  It’s a free, full-service gym in our own building so I really had no excuse.  I am proud to say that I did 45 minutes on the tread mill and 15 minutes of weights.  The first 25 minutes were pretty hard, but then my body went into “I don’t care, push on through!” mode and I finished my planned 45 minutes without much ado.

According to my pedometer, I’m just over 11,000 steps / 5.7 miles so far.  Of that, 7531 steps were aerobic (some from my 1 mile walk to the train station on the way to work, and the rest from the treadmill.).  I did learn two lessons:

  1. I need to get some more gym clothes if I’m going to do this everyday.
  2. I need new shoes.  My plantar faciitus will thank me.

Oh, and according to the scale this morning… I weigh 325 lbs for the last time.

Today, I weigh 329 lbs for the last time.
