Rock Band is absolutely the best multi-player video game experience period. Chibby brought it over last night and there were ten of us rocking out for about 5 hours straight! Kevin and I played bass most of the time and we were both doing 95% or so on medium.
Kelly was the drum master and was accomplishing similar scores on medium. The drums are the hardest instrument to play in the game as you have 4 pads plus the bass pedal. I tried it very unsuccessfully a couple of times. Jenny, Joleine’s sister was pretty good on the drums and was easily able to beat my pathetic attempts. This white boy has no rhythm.
Joleine did most of the singing, although Rebecca belted our several tunes as did Val. Chibby shredded on the guitar and even scored 90%+ in hard mode a couple of times. Kyle tried the bass and lead guitar a couple of times, but couldn’t quite get the hang of it. A little practice and he’ll be shredding in no time.
Hannah got on the drums and Kelly did the bass pedal and I did two of the 4 drums for her. We did really well and Hannah had a great time. With some practice, I’m sure that Simone and Miriam could learn to play the bass or sing.
Hopefully there will be some serious rocking on Christmas day! The game comes with a guitar, drums, and a mic. I’ll need to pickup an extra guitar for the bass at some point.

Yesterday marked the culmination of over a month of work by Chibbs and I. We created a new online community for Dungeons and Dragons players called Dragon Avenue. The site focuses on DnD news, but also has a place for other geeky stuff that DnD players are interested in. Megan baked an awesome cake in the shape of the site logo! How cool is that?
