I’m on Media Temple (gs) and trying to get refunded. My static html sites all work fine; my Expression Engine site is a disaster. I get MySQL errors left and right. The site is tiny and since I haven’t even started promoting it yet, the traffic is 0 (or 1: me).

The good people at MT have basically admitted to me up front that (gs) is not equipped to handle a site with a database. The service is $20/mo.–much higher than average for basic hosting–and while it includes a lot of features, storage capacity, etc., what good is it if you can’t host a simple site on it?
